When this occurs, support plants and bring them back to the upright position by using your Trellis System*.

AeroGarden Cherry and Tomato Guide

Tending Your Garden

A little bit of care for your Garden will ensure rapid growth and bountiful harvests. You will start to see sprouts in a few days. In a few months, you will experience the transformation of your seeds into sweet, ripe, juicy tomatoes.

Please take a moment to review this section shortly after planting your Garden (see page 25 for Reminders About Planting Your Garden).

Check that your Bio-Dome Seed Pods are in the same position on the Grow Surface as they appear in the Seed Kit Tray. We find that this arrangement gives the plants optimal spacing and light exposure.

Remove Domes

  • A few days after planting your AeroGarden, tiny plants will appear through the center hole in the Label on each Seed Pod. When this occurs, remove the Domes from each Seed Pod and discard or recycle. Do not remove the label.

How to Clean Your AeroGarden Pump

We recommend that you clean your AeroGarden Pump after every seed kit. This will ensure that nutrients or plant roots do not clog the water flow. However, if your AeroGarden has started making a noise, this can be a sign of residue inside the Pump, and it should be cleaned.

Supplies Needed:

  • Sink with Hot Water
  • Dish Soap
  • 1 gallon wide – mouthed container (such as a bucket)
  • Towel (Optional)
  • Extra Filters

Time Needed: Approx. 10 – 15 minutes

The most convenient time to clean the Pump is during the “Preparing for your Next Garden” cleaning steps, which can be found in the back of any “Tending and Harvesting” guide. If you are cleaning the Pump while your AeroGarden is planted, be sure to save the water from your Bowl as described in steps 3 & 4 below.

A Shopper’s Guide to Long-Term Care Insurance

What Is Long-Term Care?

Someone with a long physical illness, a disability, or a cognitive impairment (such as Alzheimer’s disease) often needs long-term care. Many different services help people with chronic conditions overcome limitations that keep them from being independent. Long-term care is different from traditional medical care. Long-term care helps one live as he or she is now; it may not help to improve or correct medical problems. Long-term care services may include help with activities of daily living, home health care, respite care, adult day care, care in a nursing home, and care in an assisted living facility. Long-term care may also include care management services, which will evaluate your needs and coordinate and monitor the delivery of long-term care services.
