About the Battlefield 1942 Game Server Module
The Battlefield 1942 game server module allows Plesk users to install and manage game servers through their Plesk control panels.

We do not recommend running Battlefield 1942 game servers on Plesk-managed web hosts because game servers consume lots of processor resources and would dramatically decrease web server performance. When choosing the hardware to lease or purchase, make sure it meets the following requirements:

• AMD or Intel CPU (a 1 GHz/128 MB RAM configuration can serve up to 16 players,
• 1.5+ GHz/256 MB RAM – 32 players, 2+ GHz/512 MB RAM – 48 players),
• Linux operating system installed,
• 150 Megabytes of free disk space per one game server installation plus space for additionally installed maps.

ABSTRACT
The increasing popularity of Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOG) – games involving thousands of players participating simultaneously in a single virtual world – has Client/Server (C/S) architectures. Researchers are proposing Peerhighlighted the scalability bottlenecks present in centralised to-Peer (P2P) architectures as a scalable alternative to C/S; however, P2P is more vulnerable to cheating as it decentralises the game state and logic to un-trusted peer machines, rather than using trusted centralised servers. Cheating is a major concern for online games, as a minority of cheaters can potentially ruin the game for all players. In this paper we present a review and classification of known cheats, and provide real-world examples where possible. Further, we discuss counter measures used by C/S architectures to prevent cheating. Finally, we discuss several P2P architectures designed to prevent cheating, highlighting their strengths and weaknesses.

ABSTRACT
This paper addresses players’ uses of supplemental items during gameplay, how they define what is and is not “cheating” in reference to these items, and then, what actions they ultimately take in accordance with their beliefs and reasoning. To do that, an analysis of the results of in-depth interviews with 24 game players and an open-ended survey of an additional 50 players is conducted to determine their views on how they define cheating in games, including which elements they see as cheating, those they don’t, and why they draw the line where they do. Likewise the paper explores what activities they then engage in, and their reasons for various cheating behaviors. By doing so, this paper offers a more detailed exploration of how gameplay is experienced by some players, and what is involved in that gameplay, in terms of use or rejection of supplemental items and information.

Square-Enix managed to make a sequel to one of those great Final Fantasy games and it’s no wonder that it chose Final Fantasy X, since it’s one of the best games in the series. For me, the die-hard fans of the tenth installment in the FF saga, this game is a true disappointment. It’s been almost two and a a half years since the release of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for the Nintendo GameCube.
