iPhone Bluetooth Headset User’s Guide (Manual)

Congratulations on your new iPhone Bluetooth® Headset. Use the headset to talk hands-free on your iPhone. Follow these instructions to get started.

Pair the Headset with iPhone

  1. Connect the included iPhone Dual Dock to a USB 2.0 port on your computer (not on the keyboard).
  2. Connect iPhone and the headset to the dock. The headset pairs with iPhone automatically. The first time you connect the headset, let it charge for about an hour until the status light on the headset turns from amber to green.
  3. Remove iPhone and the headset from the dock. Then press the button on the top of the headset so that calls will be routed through the headset. You can also pair the headset with iPhone and charge the headset using the included iPhone Travel Cable. Connect the cable to your computer, then connect the headset and iPhone to the cable.

The iPhone Ushers in An Age of True Mobility

The mobile phone and the internet have already transformed peoples’ social lives and made a great impact in the workplace. Most of us can still remember the first clunky handsets became available as executive toys or car phones, not something for the masses.

But today the workplace is on the verge of becoming truly mobile, totally virtual to the concept of the “office”. In fact it is no exaggeration to suggest that the concept of the office that we and particularly our parents grew up with will be completely redrawn over the next five to 10 years as mobility becomes woven right into the fabric of working practices across enterprises of all sizes.

Indeed the impact of this impending mobility revolution will be felt most strongly in smaller organisations, the SMEs, which generally have not yet given staff remote access to communications and messaging services.

How to Secure a Jailbroken iPod/iPhone

The following guide assumes that you have a jailbroken iPhone with OpenSSH installed.

Step 1: Go to Cydia and search for MobileTerminal app and then install it on your iPhone. Once you have successfully installed MobileTerminal, Reboot your iPhone.

Step 2: Now start MobileTerminal app and type the following command: passwd

Step 3: You’ll now be asked for your old password which should be ‘alpine’ (without the quotes), followed by a new one of your choice (twice). Simply enter your old and new password and you are done!

Step 4: In order to change root password, type ‘login’ command (without quotes) and then press enter. Now type ‘root’ (without quotes) as your login and ‘alpine’ (without the quotes) as your current root password. Once you have logged in as root, type ‘passwd’ command (without quotes) again and press enter. It will now prompt you to enter a new password (twice). Simply enter your desired new password again as you did in Step 3 (for changing mobile password) and you should be all fine. It is highly recommended that you change, both your mobile and root passwords to make sure you are completely safe from any outside SSH attack.
