VPN Client User Guide for Windows

In this user guide, the term Cisco VPN device refers to the following Cisco products:
• Cisco VPN 3000 Series Concentrators
• Cisco Secure PIX Firewall devices
• IOS platform devices, such as the Cisco 7100 Series Routers

The Cisco VPN Client for Windows (referred to in this user guide as VPN Client) is software that runs on a Microsoft® Windows®-based PC. The VPN Client on a remote PC, communicating with a Cisco Easy VPN server on an enterprise network or with a service provider, creates a secure connection over the Internet. Through this connection you can access a private network as if you were an on-site user.

Thus you have a Virtual Private Network (VPN). The server verifies that incoming connections have up-to-date policies in place before establishing them. Cisco IOS, VPN 3000 Series Concentrators, and PIX central-site servers can all terminate VPN connections from VPN Clients. As a remote user (low speed or high speed), you first connect to the Internet. Then you use the VPN Client to securely access private enterprise networks through a Cisco VPN server that supports the VPN
Client.

So You Wanna Be A Photoshop Expert

Now that you have decided that Photoshop is going to help make your photographs sell better than Pokémon toys, how are you going to learn the program? You have a lot of choices, but it really depends on your style of learning as to how you go about it. Some people are extremely self-motivated and disciplined. These people can sit down with a manual and a few books, and teach themselves. Plan to devote a number of hours each day, and give yourself projects to work on. It definitely takes a commitment, but most people, once they experience what the program can do, can’t drag themselves away. Start with the tutorials on your Photoshop CD, and move on to a book like the Adobe Classroom in a Book. By the time you have finished these, you should feel confident enough to work on your own projects.

Pentagon plays down security breach with US drones

US army RQ-7B Shadow drones sit in a hangar at an army base near Baquba, north of Baghdad, in 2008. A day after the Pentagon acknowledged that Iraqi militants had used cheap software to intercept US drone feeds, a new report said senior military officials had dismissed that risk in 2004.

A day after the Pentagon acknowledged that Iraqi militants had used cheap software to intercept US drone feeds, a new report on Friday said senior military officials had dismissed that risk in 2004.

On Thursday, military officials sought to play down security concerns after the Wall Street Journal revealed that militants in Iraq and Afghanistan had intercepted the unencrypted downlink between US drones and ground control.

“This is an old issue that’s been addressed,” a defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told reporters.

The problem had been taken care of, he said, without elaborating.
