There is no additional charge for software once you have Exchange 2003 in place and there is no software to deploy since support is built into the Windows Mobile operating system. By upgrading to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 with Service Pack 2, customers can also sync Tasks, access contact information on their company’s Global Address List, take advantage of stronger security policies, and more importantly receive e-mails in real-time using Microsoft’s Direct Push Technology.

For customers who choose not to deploy Exchange 2003, HP recommends the Good Technology GoodLink solution. GoodLink and the HP iPAQ hw6900 deliver a true “push” solution for email, calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes for Exchange customers. In addition, other solutions like those from Rogers using VES (Visto Enterprise Server) or Rogers MyMail for SMB segment.
