Adirondack Region

The Adirondack Park is a vast natural park (6 million acres, or two-and-a-half times the size of Yellowstone National Park) with immense, untouched forests heaved by rugged mountain ranges mirrored in thousands of lakes and ponds.

The 2.7 million acre system of state-owned lands, known as the Adirondack Forest Preserve, has been officially designated “forever wild” and is largely undisturbed by human activity. Abstract. In recent years, a number of commercial peer-to-peer TV (P2PTV) applications have been launched. Yet, their mechanisms and characteristics are unknown. In this paper, we study SopCast, a typical proprietary P2PTV system. Treating SopCast as a black box, we perform a set of experiments that are suitable to analyze SopCast in depth. We attempt to disclose the SopCast protocol. The dynamic nature of the SopCast overlay, in terms of node degree, is also addressed in this paper. Our approaches in analyzing the SopCast mechanism and characterizing its topological properties reveal important design insights in SopCast, and may help to better understand similar P2PTV systems.

Connections :

• Connect the HDMI signal source (such as HD-DVD) to the Input jack of the HDMI Repeater.
• Connect the HDMI display (such as HD-TV) to the Output jack of the HDMI Repeater.

NOTE: Place the HDMI Repeater nearer the display device to minimize signal degradation. If cascading repeaters for increased overall cable length, connect one of the repeaters to an A/C outlet using a 5 V DC / 2 A power adapter.
