Large, unexpected bills can be a home and business owner’s nightmare. An improperly installed and/or poorly maintained oil tank can leak or spill unexpectedly, often costing in the tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars and be harmful to people, your property and the environment. It is the legal and financial responsibility of the homeowner, commercial building owners and/or property managers to clean up all heating oil tank leaks and spills.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources has developed this Homeowner’s Guide to Oil Tanks to help prevent this unwelcome surprise.

This Guide is intended to:

• act as a pollution prevention measure;
• alert home, building and property owners about the potential environmental and financial liability of an oil spill; and
• provide some simple, practical steps that can minimize the chances of an oil spill.

Step 1- Project Identification

The first step in the IT Governance process is the identification of those IT Projects across the campus that may have significant impact on the campus in terms of outside funding requirements, technological integration, deployment impact, and project management needs.

A major source of information for this step is the identification of such projects through the annual campus strategic planning process. In addition, some projects may arise on an ad hoc basis in response to emergent needs. It is neither necessary nor practical for all IT Projects to pass through the entire IT Governance Process described in this guide. The intent of the governance process is to apply good judgment and to focus attention and resources only on those projects that truly require it and that have the greatest impact on the campus.

The most important technical step to a good print is a good negative. The key to a good negative is correct film exposure.

Three variables control film exposure:

• Lens Opening
• Shutter Speed
• Film Speed

Lens Opening:

1. The larger the opening, the greater amount of light that reaches the film.
2. The size of the lens opening is measured by f-stops. ( The larger the f-stop, the smaller the opening )
3. The f-stops are as follows:
   • f 1.4 ( most light )
   • f2
   • f 2.8
   • f4
   • f 5.6
   • f8
   • f 11
   • f 16
   • f 22 ( least light )

Shutter Speed:

1. The time for which film is exposed to light is controlled by the shutter speed.
2. The faster the shutter speed, the shorter the duration of film exposure, and the less light reaches the film.

Adirondack Region

The Adirondack Park is a vast natural park (6 million acres, or two-and-a-half times the size of Yellowstone National Park) with immense, untouched forests heaved by rugged mountain ranges mirrored in thousands of lakes and ponds.

The 2.7 million acre system of state-owned lands, known as the Adirondack Forest Preserve, has been officially designated “forever wild” and is largely undisturbed by human activity. The Adirondacks offer visitors spectacular views and long, peaceful waterways. The 46 High Peaks in the Park’s northeast mountain range have the state’s highest vantage points (over 4,000 feet). Most of the major highways that serpentine through the Park’s magnificent landscape have been officially designated as Scenic Byways. Over 70 native tree species; 55 species of mammals – such as the fisher, American marten, white-tailed deer, and black bear; 218 different birds including the American bald eagle and the common loon; plus 86 species of fish reside in the Adirondacks.

1. Prerequisites
Following versions of Linux are supported:

• SuSE 6.0 or above,
• Red Hat 5.2 or above,
• Caldera 2.2 or above,
• Slackware 4.0 or above.

Download the “ASPeX CA” root certificate from our website at the following URL:

and save the file ‘root.cer’ to your /tmp directory.

2. Install Citrix ICA Client
Make sure you log on as user ‘root’ before continuing. Go to the /tmp directory, uncompress and untar the installation binaries, using the following command:
# tar –zxvf linuxx86.tar.gz

Start the installation procedure by running the following command:
# ./setupwfc

You will see the following screen:
Citrix ICA Client 7.00 setup.
