How to Protect Your Privacy on Facebook

When you sign up as a user of Facebook, the default settings allow all other Facebook users to find you in searches. However, only those you have confirmed as friends or who share a network with you have access to your full profile. By default, your name and thumbnail profile picture can also be found on public search engines. Facebook has selected these settings based on what it believes most users want, but you can always change them to restrict access to your information, as you see fit. Therefore, you can change the default settings to restrict access to your profile. Under the current setting, only your friends, their friends, and the people on your networks can see your profile. If you download Facebook Platform third-party applications into your profile, some of your information may be shared (see section on “Applications” below). It is important to explore these default settings, to adjust the privacy settings to those with which you are comfortable.

Walgreens SWOT Analysis

Walgreens was originally founded in 1901, in Chicago, as a single store company. Today, they are the second largest drugstore chain in the nation with approximately 5,200 stores in 45 states; however, they are the leader in the industry in terms of sales. In 2005, Walgreens generated 42.2 billion dollars in sales. This figure is a milestone in that it marks the 31st year that Walgreens has set a sales record for the industry. At $46 per square foot, Walgreens averages twice the sales per square foot than their competitors. In light of this success, they project 7,000 stores by 2010. (DSN Retailing Today, 6/12/06) Walgreens expands through organic growth. They prefer to build, or rebuild their own stores and as a result, the average Walgreens store is six years old.(MMR,5/8/2006) The Walgreen chain of pharmacies offers prescription and non-prescription drugs.

Hydraulic Fluid Care Guide

Why is fluid care important?

High-performance servohydraulic systems require very clean oil to maximize performance and extend the life of system components.

While less sophisticated hydraulic systems may function acceptably with lower levels of oil cleanliness, high-performance servohydraulic equipment will “silt up” and perform erratically when subjected to particulate levels that are greater than an ISO 4406 rating of 16/13/9. Servovalves must operate smoothly and predictably to deliver the tightly regulated pressures and fluid flow for which they are designed.

How can hydraulic system life be maximized?

Regular monitoring and maintenance of the hydraulic fluid promotes the maximum operating performance and service life of the servohydraulic system and its components. Two specific items must be checked regularly—contaminants in the fluid and the fluid’s chemical makeup.
