JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 4.3

Introduction

Annotations are a very convenient and elegant way to specify invariant constraints for a domain model. You can, for example, express that a property should never be null, that the account balance should be strictly positive, etc. These domain model constraints are declared in the bean itself by annotating its properties. A validator can then read them and check for constraint violations. The validation mechanism can be executed in different layers in your application without having to duplicate any of these rules (presentation layer, data access layer). Following the DRY principle, Hibernate Validator has been designed for that purpose.

Hibernate Validator works at two levels. First, it is able to check in-memory instances of a class forconstr aint violations. Second, it can apply the constraints to the Hibernate metamodel and incorporate them into the generated database schema.

Vespa GT Instruction Manual

PEG PEREGO® thanks you for choosing this product. For over 50 years, PEG PEREGO has been taking children for an outing: first with its famous baby carriages and strollers, later with its pedal and battery operated toy vehicles.

Read this instruction manual carefully to learn the use of the vehicle and to teach your child safe and enjoyable driving. Please keep this manual for use as a reference in the future.

Our toys conform with the safety requirements provided by the Council of the EEC, of the T.Ü.V.; of the I.I.S.G. Istituto Italiano Sicurezza Giocattoli, and the U.S. Consumer Toy Safety Specification F963.

Peg Perego reserves the right to modify or change its product. Price, literature, manufacturing processes or locations or any combination of the above mentioned entities may change at any time for any reason without notice with impunity.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE

Network Programming with TCPIP UNIX

Sockets

  • developed for Berkeley UNIX : recall early Berkeley TCP/IP implementation, first delivered with BSD 2.1
  • central features: central abstraction – the socket – an end-point like an electrical connector, not TCP/IP specific (e.g. UNIX named pipes), uses normal read/write system calls, sockets associated with UNIX file descriptors but some not for normal I/O, some extra system calls
  • sits more comfortably with TCP than with UDP because of byte-stream nature of UNIX I/O
  • special UDP functions e.g., recv(…) – accepts a UDP datagram
  • additional non-socket functions e.g., gethostbyname(…) – domain name server

Establishing a TCP Connection
Initial State

  • TCP is connection based … establishing it is a complex multistage process
  • initially all machines are the same
  • no special ‘server’ machines
  • the difference is all in the software

Passive Open

  • server process does a ‘passive’ open on a port

Duracell myGrid Operation Manual

Set Up

  1. Place the myGrid™ charging pad in your favorite flat location.
  2. Plug the AC adapter into the wall outlet.
  3. Insert the DC power plug firmly into the myGrid™ charging pad.

Charging your myGrid™-enabled devices

  • Once the myGrid™ charging pad is powered on, the indicator light will turn on while the system status is checked. If the system is functioning properly and there is no fault detected (i.e. keys, metal object or a hand placed on the charge pad), then the indicator light will turn off in 3-5 seconds.
You are now ready to charge your myGrid™-enabled devices. Simply place them on the myGrid™ charging pad with the contacts facing down. The indicator light will light up to show you that your device is receiving power. If a fault is detected, the indicator light will (1) not appear upon initial power up or (2) turn off during operation.

6.0L DIT Power Stroke Diesel Engine Oil Change Guide

  1. Make sure the vehicle is on level ground.
  2. Turn the engine off and wait a few minutes for the oil to drain into the oil pan.
  3. Set the parking brake and ensure the gearshift is securely latched in P (Park) (automatic transmission) or 1st (First gear) (manual transmission).
Important: To avoid engine damage, change the oil filter before draining the oil pan. This allows dirty oil in the filter housing to drain back into the oil pan.
  4. Loosen the oil filter cap by using a 36mm socket and a ratchet (location #1)
NOTE: Unscrewing the cap opens the oil filter drain and drains the oil from the oil filter housing into the crankcase.
  5. Remove the cap with the oil filter and O-ring attached. Turn the cap and filter upside down so as not to drip oil.

Watershed Restoration – A Guide for Citizen Involvement in California

WHAT Is A WATERSHED?

The conceptual definition of a watershed is any sloping surface that sheds water. Practically, it is a term used to describe the land area that is drained by a particular river, stream or creek. When hydrologists use the term they refer to a drainage basin or area as the total land area that discharges its surface water streamflow through one outlet or mouth. A large stream like the Klamath River can drain a huge land area and encompass a watershed of thousands of square miles. Most large watersheds are made up of several smaller watersheds associated with tributary rivers and feeder streams that contribute flow from areas known as sub-basins. Watersheds are ultimately defined by gravity. When you want to define a watershed you begin by selecting the stream or river that is of interest; the drainage area is then defined by a boundary of ridgetops. A drop of water falling on the top of that ridge will flow by gravity into your watershed or to the other side into an adjacent watershed depending on the topography or lay of the land.
