  1. Obtain the failing symptoms in as much detail as possible.
  2. Verify the symptoms by attempting to recreate the failure by running the diagnostic tests or repeating the same operation.
  3. Refer to the table below to determine which corrective action to perform.

eTrust Antivirus Groupware Options User Guide

Using an electronic messaging system is a common way for today’s corporations to communicate. Quite often, the messaging system becomes an essential method for sharing information and documents, both within and outside of the enterprise. Unfortunately, these same systems can have gaps in security that enable infections to rapidly spread through an organization—posing risks to both data and productivity.

According to an International Computer Security Association (ICSA®) survey, email attachments are the most common sources of infections. Macro viruses, worms, and other malicious code can come in through email to slow down and debilitate your system. For example, infectors such as the Winword Concept macro virus and the Melissa virus have become among the fastest spreading viruses in history. According to the ICSA, the well-known LoveLetter virus is a mass-mailer, and therefore has the potential to spread quickly. The virus arrives as a VBS file attached to an email message.

The Complete Surfing Guide for Coaches

By Bruce C. Gabrielson PhD the “Original Huntington Beach Snake”
“Founder of US High School Surfing”

Author’s Surfing Biography

I began surfing at the Seal Beach power plant in the early 1960s. Since surfing wetsuits were unknown back then, the warm water made this break one of the most popular places around. It was there that I got to know Chuck Linnen, Chuck Dent, and many of the other early day surfing locals.

Show Me the Next-Generation HDMI

Early versions of HDMI (version 1.2 and below) clocked their serial links at 165 MHz, giving the connection a total capacity of 4.95 Gbps. When the HDMI 1.3 specification was introduced in 2006, its optional 340 MHz system clock rate doubled the link’s maximum capacity to 10.2 Gbps. To put some perspective on this enormous bandwidth, it only takes 2.23 Gbps to support a 1080i, 8 bits/color HDTV display running at a 60 Hz frame refresh rate.

The HDMI serial data stream is segmented into packets that allow it to encapsulate nearly any digital media format including standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, multi-channel digital audio and control information on a single cable. Video data is always transmitted in an uncompressed format, complete with horizontal and vertical blanking intervals. The video blanking intervals (Data Island Periods) are used to transmit audio data, which can consist of any compressed, non-compressed, PCM, single or multi-channel formats and control information. The audio formats include the new DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD formats used by Blu-ray media players.
