Software Security Engineering – A Guide for Project Managers

The Goal of Software Security Engineering
Software security engineering is using practices, processes, tools, and techniques that enable you to address security issues in every phase of the software development life cycle (SDLC). Software that is developed with security in mind is typically more resistant to both intentional attack and unintentional failures. One view of secure software is software that is engineered “so that it continues to function correctly under malicious attack” [McGraw 20063] and is able to recognize, resist, tolerate, and recover from events that intentionally threaten its dependability. Broader views that can overlap with software security (for example, software safety, reliability, and fault tolerance) include proper functioning in the face of unintentional failures or accidents and inadvertent misuse and abuse, as well as reducing software defects and weaknesses to the greatest extent possible regardless of their cause.

How Healthy Are Same-Sex Families

LEARNING FROM THE DIVORCE EXPERIMENT
We entered our national divorce experiment with all the best hopes, assuming that if parents could leave unhappy marriages, they would become happier parents, raising happier children. Advocates pushing the divorce experiment called forth a few authorities who assured us that children are resilient and they would adjust to living apart from there parents. “Love would see them through” we were told, much like same-sex family advocates seek to assure us today.
Well, the millions of children who were subjected to this experiment tell us a different story, as witnessed by multiple studies:

  • The American Academy of Pediatrics, the same organization that tells us the same-sex family will work out just fine, now tells us that divorce “is a long, searing experience…characterized by painful loses.”17

SWOT Analysis Concerning the Use of Nanomaterials in the Automotive Sector

Objectives of the SWOT analysis
This study has the objective to give an overview on the use of nanomaterials in the automotive sector and has not the goal to be exhaustive. It will give to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) the possibility to have a concise description of the development in this sector. For this reason no scientific detail and technological explanation are presented. Four main aspects of the industrial branch will be described in the SWOT analysis. The “Strengths” and “Weaknesses” will give information on the actual State of the Art concerning the use of nanomaterials and the “Opportunities” and “Threats” will describe future Trends and Vision in the industrial sector.

In order to give precision about the definition of the terms “Strengths”, “Weaknesses” “Opportunities” and “Threats” in relation to the project NanoRoadSME, specific questions were defined for each of the four aspects.

Motion 3 New Features (manual)

This document explains the new features and enhancements released in Motion 3. For more information about these features and their use, see the Motion User Manual and the Motion Supplemental Documentation, available from the Motion Help menu.

3D
Motion 3 now supports a three-dimensional, multiplane compositing environment, allowing you to create sophisticated 3D motion graphics with depth and new levels of realism. In the Motion 3D workspace, you can:

  • Add and animate cameras, images, and text along paths in three dimensions.
  • Create particle systems and replicators with height, width, and depth.
  • Apply behaviors such as Throw, Spin, and Vortex in 3D space.
  • Apply new camera behaviors that automate sweeping pans and dramatic zooms.
  • Stylize your projects with a combination of blend modes and scene lights.

Motion Tracking and Stabilization
Using the new Motion Tracking behaviors, you can stabilize handheld camera shots, track the individual points of a shape or mask to background element, and more. The new Motion Tracking behaviors include:

A True Valentine Day Gift

Notice how he is quick to laugh and doesn’t get hung up on little things. Or how easily he can put things in order, from balancing the family checkbook to locating your car keys. Or how he goes out into the world day after day, without complaining, to do his share for the family. Thank him for all of it! Express your appreciation, your gratitude for these many gifts to you, with words, with touch, with affection. Let him know loudly and clearly how he matters to you, how important he is in your life.
